This is an EA (ethyl acetate) washed decaf coffee from Cundinamarca, Colombia.
Ethyl Acetate is a naturally occurring sugar found in many fruits and is a byproduct of fermented sugar. It is used as a solvent to bond with and remove caffeine from green coffee. Any trace amounts of EA left over are dissolved during the roasting process.
On drip, this coffee showcases a
medium citrus acidity, with cherry and floral aftertaste
On espresso, this coffee will have a heavier body, with notes of chocolate vanilla, and cherry.
